The Anchor Wreck
This incredible 300-foot freighter of unknown origin lies in 105 feet of water. As a natural wreck, rather than one intentionally scuttled to create an artificial reef system, this site is a favorite of many divers. A low profile provides good visibility over the entire wreck. Outlying wreckage provides interesting photo opportunities. Tropical fish and large pelagic species are year-round inhabitants. This wreck dates back from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It is one of out most unpredictable wrecks; because it is so far out in the open ocean, you never know what you’re going to see!
The trip is about 2 hours each way.
