Our Boat

The Trinity

Our boat The Trinity is an Island Hopper custom built for Scuba Diving. It is USCG Certified and Approved.

Our goal is to assure you the most enjoyable trip whether you are alone, with a friend, or in a group!

The Trinity is docked at the Harborage at Ashley Marina, slip D22, just a half mile from our store location. It is equipped with a Fresh water Shower, Marine Indoor Head, Two Coolers with Ice, Fresh Drinking Water, First Aid Kit, and DAN Oxygen. We always have a Coast Guard Certified Captain and Certified Divemaster on board.

We are also equipped for salvage, insurance claim, research, survey and photo/video work. Our previous contracts have included work for the US Corps of Engineers, the US Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Center Atlantic, The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the South Carolina Aquarium, the South Carolina Archaeology Dept. Underwater Division, the Berkeley Electric Cooperative, various marine investigators, Towboat US and the City of Charleston Police Dept. Dive Team.

Diving from The Trinity

Show time for offshore recreational dives is 7:00am at Charleston Scuba. We depart from the marina at 8:30am and return to the marina anywhere from 3:30-5:30 pm depending on the sites we are visiting and the weather. Parking is available at Charleston Scuba and shuttle bus service to the Ashley Marina is FREE.

Anyone who is diving from The Trinity is required to have a Dive Knife and some sort of Timing Device (Watch or Computer) due to the Depths and amount of Fishing Line on several of our local wrecks. This is for everyone's safety. If you need either of these items they can be purchased/rented from the shop.

At the Dive Site, we will anchor to the Wreck and then setup our line system as displayed in the diagram below. After divers enter the water from the stern of the boat, there will be a Trail Line behind the boat to hold on to while waiting for their buddy. Once the dive team is in the water, they can descend along the geriatric line to the Anchor Line and then down to the wreck.
